About Our Client

My client is a leading international chemical and explosives company. Its continued growth is driven by strong global demand and after this unprecedented growth they are well placed in the market to continue to be a progressive and dynamic manufacturing force. With this in mind they are now seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join them.


The Role

This is a newly created opportunity reporting into the Group HSE Manager, you will be tasked to develop and implement HSE requirements across the Ammonia division of the organisation. You will provide onsite assistance in relation with inspections and auditing and ideally be familiar with AS4801 and ISO9002. This will include essential compliance reporting and auditing as well as support for the team such as toolbox talks, JSA's and safety improvement initiatives.

You will address operational issues and further development to drive safety and quality improvement throughout the business ongoing.


About You

To fully fulfil the requirements of this opportunity you will need to be hold a cert IV or above in OHS and have a minimum of five years in a similar role with experience of Dangerous goods or hazardous material.
 
 Ideally you will have:
 
  • High level of skill and experience in Health and Safety systems development, implementation and maintenance
  •  Proven experience in incident investigation, incident response and auditing
  • Ability to coach, mentor and support other members of the Health and Safety team and employees
  • A broad understanding of the transport industry and dangerous goods act.
  • Have experience in working with Risk Management Processes and incident investigation
  • Experience in implementing Health and Safety Management Plans.
  • A high level of understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice
  • Technical credibility with a wide range of technical employees
  • A genuine passion in driving and maintaining a safety culture
