Housing Officer

The Housing Officer is responsible for the management of maintenance of all public housing units in order to ensure that units are maintained in a safe and reasonable manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Post Matric qualification or related qualification
• 3-5 years working experience in similar role
• Demonstrable experience in building maintenance and upkeep

Job Specification

• Responsible to direct the contractors employed by the Company for the repair andgeneral upkeep of company houses.
• Conduct inspections of public housing units for needed services and repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of boilers, heating and ventilation systems.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of building interiors and exteriors
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to appliances including stoves, refrigerators and
• washing machines.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ceilings, flooring and roofing.
• Allocation of Company Housing Units.
• Coordination of housing maintenance.
• Ensuring that the paperwork trail e.g. snags lists and checks upon exits are done and
• followed up according to process.
• Ensuring that Lease Agreements are in place and filed.
