Geotechnical Engineer

  • Open Cut Coal Operation

Large Mining operator currently mining one of the deepest open cut pits in Australia. Production between 3.5 and 5.7Mt per annum depending on clients requirements. Utilising a terrace mining truck and shovel operation across the 3 pits. Current growth has seen increased infrastructure added to site and production levels are set to surpass 4.2mt.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced site based Geotechnical Engineer. Your responsibility will be to minimise geotechnical risk on site and improve operational and financial effectiveness of the project. You will mentor site engineers, assist in the tender process and assist with new projects.


To be considered for this role you must have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred masters)
  • 5 years experience in open cut coal operation
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills
