We are currently working with a high-level manufacturer in Ontario, within the high speed confectionery/packaging market to find a qualified individual at a senior level to Manage Engineering services within the plant.
The selected individual will manage and plan the daily workload of trades and plant personnel in order to competently perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including repairs.
The Supervisor of Engineering Services will coordinate with production process suppliers and ensure that software and equipment is maintained and upgraded as necessary. He/she will also monitor and troubleshoot the production process daily, in order to resolve any potential issues and resolve them appropriately.
They will also analyze and propose capital projects and ensure they are undertaken appropriately, in addition to the oversight and electrical infrastructure of the plant facility including the alarm and fire systems.
Important to have skills for this position would be an ability to maintain equipment and process controls in a cost effective manner, while maintaining the facility infrastructure, and working with QA to ensure the process are working effectively at the highest quality.
A University Degree in Electrical Engineering, coupled with a P. Eng designation is required, in addition to 5+ years production/management experience. Extra attention will be paid to those with extensive knowledge of process control systems like iFIX or Wincc, and experience with AutoCad and building components like HVAC, boilers, etc.
