Purchaser/Production Planner

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of switchgear for electric distribution systems. They are currently searching for a purchaser/production planner to join their team due to growth. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years in a similar role and the ability to work in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control
• Create work orders
• Maintain NAFTA certificates
• Create Bill of Materials
• Create Purchase Orders
• Receiving of inventory into system
• Prepare all shipping documentation
• Update schedule and performance charts daily
• Assist in expedition of back orders
• Participate in physical inventory
• Sourcing and negotiation of new vendors
• Purchasing of materials

Requirements

• College Diploma/ University Degree
• 2+ years in production planning role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in negotiation
• Ability to handle a stressful and fast paced role
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong MS office skills and ability to read AutoCAD drawings
