Reliability Technician - Electrical

Position Description

• Located 125 miles southwest of Houston, [Company] Point Comfort Operations supplies alumina -- the compound from which aluminum is made -- to kglobal production system – the largest network of refineries and smelters in the world. • This position provides day to day support and long term advancement of predictive maintenance tools, procedures, and programs.
• This person will be a plant expert in predictive maintenance tools, practices and procedures for maintaining rotating equipment as well as fixed electrical power systems..
• They will support programs aimed at developing skilled maintenance and operating personnel in the deployment of a "Reliability Excellence" philosophy, aimed at continuously improving the up time and availability of production facilities.
• Position can be filled as a JG 14 to JG 16 depending upon qualifications and experience

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Higher, with relevant work experience.
• Work Experience with predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis and thermographics required along with a working knowledge of ultra-sonic thickness testing and motor current analysis.
• 2 - 15 years’ experience in relevant work experience in a industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment skills and have the ability to communicate well.
• Must be customer focused and be able to take initiative and independent action.
• Ability to work smoothly within the team environment in a collaborative way.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred but not required
• Position can be filled as a JG 14 to JG 16 depending upon qualifications and experience
