  • Responsibilities:
  • The Dallas, TX [Addison] office of [Company] seeks a senior construction materials testing [CMT] engineer who will function as department manager, and upon Board approval, principal engineer. The position requires a commitment to manage the department for growth with a strong emphasis on client and business development. Working with a team of geotechnical engineers and construction materials testing project managers, candidates will be involved in CMT report preparation, senior level review, and mentoring of CMT staff. Candidates should have experience working on both geotechnical and CMT projects as low barriers are maintained between departments. Will also be responsible for assisting other staff in marketing [Company] services; including taking the lead in marketing one of our target business segments that is best suited to candidate's capabilities and interests. Candidates with knowledge of and established relationships in the local market are strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field required; MSCE preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering and CMT services.
  • TX PE license required or ability to obtain local licensure by reciprocity within three months following date of hire.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, and strong project and personnel management skills.
  • Experience managing CMT projects is a must along with solid understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts.

[Company] does not supply vehicles; therefore, you must be able to provide a vehicle suitable for use on construction sites. We will compensate you at $0.55/mile for use of your own vehicle for work related activities. Driver’s license verification required; must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the [Company] driving policy.
