Industrial Relations Manager

My client, a leading manufacturing company based in Johannesburg, is looking for an HR Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.

Role description
  • The main duties of the role of Industrial Relations Manager based in Johannesburg will be to:
  • Advise Management and Employees on aspects of the Company Policies in pursuance of procedural and substantive fairness.
  • Monitor and advise on all aspects of dispute resolution and represent the Company in external dispute resolution matters (CDR, CCMA). 
  • Chair weekly / monthly and ad-hoc meetings with the Unions.
  • Compile reports and keep statistics to measure IR performance.
  • Conduct such training as may be required to educate employees and line managers on IR Policies and Procedures.
  • Advise management on IR strategy and policy direction and serve as compliance officer in the Company's EE structure.
Who we're looking for
  • If you are a seasoned IR practitioner who has solid experience within the manufacturing sector and has managed a team this is a great opportunity to join a progressive multinational. 
  • Candidates that possess a relevant tertiary qualification and 10 years HR/IR experience should apply. 
  • You must have worked in a highly unionised environment and have represented their company at the CCMA and Labour Court
