• [Company] Minnesota Ore Operations includes two iron ore mines in Northern Minnesota ([Company] in Mt. Iron and [Company] in Keewatin, Minnesota). The following vacancy is available at the [Company] facility:

Analytical/Technical II (Draftsperson) Primary Responsibilities & Requirements:

• This position will perform analytical and/or technical functions requiring more advanced interpretation and analysis. This position performs a full range of mechanical drafting functions. This includes, but is not limited to, field measurement and verification for upgrades and additions to new and existing equipment, and working with other internal departments and external vendors and contractors to modify or develop drawings used in fabrication of equipment in the plant. Additional responsibilities include administrative and clerical duties.

Work Environment:

• The job is within an industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas. Dependent upon the area you will be assigned to, the environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
• Safety is a core value and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing safety apparel such as hard hat, goggles, hearing protection, and protective clothing and work boots with metatarsal protection. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. The position also requires you to work overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• This position requires a minimum of a technical college degree in mechanical drafting, proficiency in Auto Cad, and two or more years related drafting experience. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and prioritize based on departmental and organizational needs and will also be comfortable working in a team environment or working independently on individual projects.
