Plant Supervisor

Plant Supervisor - Sarnia, ON

Due to recent expansion, Plains is currently looking to fill the position of Plant Supervisor at our Fractionation Plant located in Sarnia, ON. The successful candidate will be accountable to the District Manager for managing all aspects of the Plains NGL fractionation plant and storage facility, as well as providing operational/technical support to staff ensuring operational costs, production, quality and EH&S objectives are met while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of the fractionation plant and storage facility including planning, organizing and staffing within environmental and governmental regulations;
• Instructing and supervising the maintenance and operation of all equipment and facilities at the plant;
• Identifying process optimization opportunities followed by requisite policy and procedure development, implementation and enforcement;
• Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance; and
• Liaise with internal and external customers on daily basis.

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of LPG storage / loading facility operations with 10 years experience, or an engineering degree (B. Science) with 5-10 years of engineering, plant processing/bulk storage and terminal experience;
• Solid operations and troubleshooting experience to ensure process optimization;
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance for process equipment, pressure vessels and heaters;
• Salt cavern petroleum storage or solution mining experience is a plus;
• Energetic, well-organized, self-motivated with effective communication skills (verbal and written);
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and effectively direct employee within the facility;
• Ability to manage a multitude of priorities in a fast paced and changing environment; and
• Excellent computer knowledge with advanced understanding of MS Excel.
