Environment Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

AECOM is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team of professionals in our Calgary & Edmonton Offices.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement geotechnical investigations using various drilling and sampling techniques,
• Undertake analysis and design for geotechnical components related to highway and railway projects, pipelines, large scale industrial foundations, mining, landfills and other civil infrastructure;
• Perform design studies and provide geotechnical recommendations related to the design and construction of stability of natural and manmade slopes, retaining & revetment structures, shallow & deep foundation systems;
• Site inspection, Construction QA/QC roles, Tender package preparation.
• Geotechnical Modeling
• Direct/supervise junior staff to achieve project deliverables
• Project Management;
• Proposal and report preparation;
• Client relationship management;
• Business development.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in related Civil /Geotechnical Engineering, Masters is an asset.
• Registration in or eligibility for registration in APEGGA
• 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety & quality management
• Exceptional communication skills
