We have a number of opportunities for experienced Estimating Managers to join our client on oil, gas, mining and heavy industrial projects across Australia. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing support and assistance for the compilation of Target Estimates and proposals for site - including lump sum projects, budget prices and variation/emergent work cost estimates.

Job Description
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, capable problem solvers who want to work within a great team delivering construction projects. Our Client needs enthusiastic, organised and confident team members who enjoy the dynamics of large projects either in oil, gas, mining and heavy industry sectors.
Requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of the engineering and construction industry and market; the conditions, trends and competitors in the oil, gas, mining and heavy industry sectors.
- Relevant industry experience (eg resources, engineering and construction industry) - in a multidisciplinary environment - civil, structural, mechanical or pipeline fabrication and installation.
- Experience in estimating for construction projects, knowledge of relevant construction norms and industry rates.
- Excellent written communication skills - able to prepare tender documents, proposals, executive reports
- Interpersonal and verbal communication skills - establishing client relationships, making presentations, negotiating, communicating effectively with site personnel.
- Business analysis skills - risk assessment, performance review, analysis.
- Is commercially astute and can understand contract terms and conditions, identify and assess commercial benefits and risks of tenders and proposals.
- Coordinating and organising skills, can establish, lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams to achieve set tasks and timelines, can be relied on to meet deadlines.
- Sound computer skills, able to use Word, Excel and scheduling software.
- Willing to work on a wide range of projects and tasks involving site visits and at times working irregular hours
