Corporate Estimator

We are looking for a Corporate Estimator who has a degree in civil engineering and a background in bulk earthworks or a closely aligned field to work on a series of mining, rail, materials handling projects and associated infrastructure located in Perth. This Global EPCM is in need of an estimator who is specialized in Estimation for $100 million plus projects. This EPCM requires a confident and proven estimator to work closely with the Perth based team making sure the estimation is extremely accurate drawing on their experience within estimation for similar projects.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide input into improving policies and systems for the estimating of tenders and proposals 
• Participate in contract negotiations as an adviser on contract  and cost options 
• Analyse, review and make recommendations on contractors’ and sub-consultancies’ submissions 
• Prepare post-submission responses to client for the clarification of matters 
• Preparation of Estimates from inception 
• Review draft construction contracts for adequacy of cost and schedule requirements

This is a 12 months contract with a global EPCM company based in Perth.


Required Competencies / Skills you will have the ability to:

• 3-5 years experience in bulk earthworks and civil engineering. 
• Read and review data sheets and engineering drawings 
• Australian PR or citizens required as 457 sponsorship not currently offered 
• Prepare cost estimates including temporary facilities, construction equipment, etc 
• Calculate indirect cost estimates against industry benchmarks 
• Excellent understanding of HSE regulations and standards 
• Degree in Civil Engineering
