Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal Environmental Consultant to join a mining consultancy who has a strong presence in Australia and supply of challenging and stimulating projects.  We are looking for ambitious, career driven individuals who are keen to use their environmental experience and skills in innovative and practical ways on complex projects.

Reporting to the senior manager you'll be the technical lead for a range of projects including preparation of mine closure and rehabilitation plans, environmental management, legislation and compliance and the preparation of environmental monitoring plans. You'll also mentor and help shape the strategic direction of the team and actively pursue new business opportunities. With continued support from dedicated business developers, you can focus on client management and project delivery.
 
To be considered for this role you must have

• Relevant tertiary qualifications with a successful background in lead and develop a team
• 10+ years relevant experience
• The ability to work autonomously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Track records of business development activities, including client liaison and identifying and following up of leads.

To be considered for this role you must be tertiary qualified with a successful background in developing teams and the ability to develop people plans. Further skills beneficial to this consultancy include contaminated land experience, environmental modeling skills and skills relating to water resources engineering.
