Verification and Validation Engineer

The successful candidate will oversee the Design and development of systems for industrial plant expansions and installations using appropriate technologies. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Working as a team or individual, developing software according to design documentation and appropriate standards.
  • Development of user and system manuals
  • Preparation of test plans for function testing
  • Functional testing of software/hardware
  • Commissioning of software/hardware
  • Provision of technical support to both internal staff and clients
  • Assists with the training and development of graduate/junior engineers

Liaising with other sectors of the electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, process engineering and drafting personnel  you will assist with engineering design and the interfaces to plant design. This exciting opportunity includes important responsibilities on this large scale development for a major mining project team.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
 
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in systems, software or hardware development and/or testing within formal development -lifecycles
  • Experience in systems engineering or safety critical system testing is a major advantage.
  • Understanding software development methodologies and lifecycles
  • Familiar with Railway Control Systems and applicable standards is desirable
