Technical Sales Specialist

As Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing of existing customer base and maintaining good working relations.
• Receiving enquiries, quoting for the work, negotiating contracts and securing orders.
• Deputise for the Sales Manager as and when required.
• Liaise and deal directly with clients at all levels.
• Assist with submission of territory

Minimum Requirements

Who we're looking for

The Technical Specialist will have a proven track record of developing business and the following:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Technical product knowledge of underground mechanized mining equipment
• Competent with Microsoft office
• Underground mining experience (preferable)
• Good knowledge of region

Role description

As Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing of existing customer base and maintaining good working relations.
• Receiving enquiries, quoting for the work, negotiating contracts and securing orders.
• Deputise for the Sales Manager as and when required.
• Liaise and deal directly with clients at all levels.
• Assist with submission of territory competitor review.
• Develop strategic supply base to support in-country supply for Africa customer base
• Service customers in region
• Manage and oversee relationships with strategic customers in region and develop a deep understanding of their long-term business strategies
• Negotiating and closing deals (customer & supplier) that benefit the group
• Working with the GM (Australasia) to establish Sales and Operations Plans to grow market share in Africa, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
• Establishing metrics to analyse and track performance of new region focus (to be agreed with GM (Australasia)
• Direct and coordinate organisation's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency
• Assist in monitoring and forecasting stock levels
