Plant Maintenance Mechanic- Second Shift

Job Description

• Candidates will be required and expected to:
• Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements
• Maintains good housekeeping practices on equipment.
• Must be willing to work a rotating schedule with varying shifts and must be punctual in adhering to established start times.  Predominate start time will be after noon. 
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor
• Candidates must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, some noise; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team.

Required Skills

Candidate’s primary responsibilities include; maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.   Position requires candidate to effectively diagnose and make mechanical repairs to various types of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, chutes, bins, hoppers and other production components used in a crushing facility, with limited supervision.   Provides assistance in equipment inspections and identifies conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc.) and monitors performance as directed. Reports plant and/or equipment conditions to appropriate personnel as required. Assists plant personnel with repair and maintenance.
