In your role as Geologist you will be involved in a vast range of tasks due multiple producing shallow gas wells and new exploration initiatives in the North Sea. You will work with a driven group of multidisciplinary specialists consisting of Reservoir- and Petroleum Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists. Due to the flat organisation structure you can benefit from quick decision making. 50% of your time you will be busy with Exploration and the rest in Production and Development Geology for Shallow Gas on the North Sea.
In this role you will have the possibility to grow into lead Geologist and acting as knowledge leader in the international group. Your core responsibility is to provide geology support to the shallow gas development project. This includes well planning, static reservoir modelling (3D/Petrel), well log interpretation and compilation of data acquisition programs. You will work closely with the Drillers and offer operational support during drilling campaigns but will also support the various oil & gas reservoir management teams by identification and maturation of prospective plays and preparation for prospect review and risking.
To top it off you will also be involved in new business by screening Dutch E&P opportunities while working close to the business development team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- a minimum of 10 years of Geologist experience
- experience with building 3D models in Petrel or excellent experience with Static Modelling
- a Masters degree in Geology/Earth Sciences or similar study
- good experience with Development Geology
- experience with the North Sea petroleum geology
- fluent in English
- experience working for an Operator or Consulting/Services Company
- EU passport or already working in the Netherlands
- experience with Exploration Geology is a plus
- experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a plus
- familiar with Carbon Storage is a plus
