Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity to join the environmental team of an international mining company during an exciting phase of growth and development. Currently in the process of developing a large scale Greenfield project they require a highly experienced Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to coordinate their stakeholder engagement activities and responsibilities for the associated rail network project.


Reporting to the Stakeholder Communications Manager you will be responsible for:

• Stakeholder and consultation activities involving land owners, community groups, and government stakeholders
• Developing consultation management plans
• Identifying stakeholder engagement opportunities
• To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in Social Science or Communications
• Strong stakeholder management and consultation experience (including land use and right of way issues) 
• Previous experience within the civil construction sector
• Ability to develop and implement consultation programs in accordance with environmental assessment requirements
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

In return you will enjoy working with an international organisation on a world class project. The role is based in Brisbane however regular field work is required (upto 50% of the time). This is a fixed 2 year contract with a salary package negotiable on your experience.
