Senior Civil Design Drafter

A unique opportunity has become available for a Senior Civil Designer to join a great team at a highly respected Design Consultancy.
Our client ensures a highly regarded work culture and not only encourages but rewards your creativity.

The Senior Designer will ensure the design teams performance against the planned progress and will define, review and ensure the quality of the 2D civil drawings aligned with engineering requirements.  This work will be done from a Central City office in Perth to support large local mining projects, in particular a project that has just been injected with $millions in development funds.

Duties will include:

  • Being a point of liaison with Civil Engineers 
  • Mentor and help manage peer Design drafters
  • Perform design reviews and make adjustments
  • Perform additional activities as directed by the Group Design Manager
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and comply with industry standards

Candidates that have or are actively working in a design capacity are exactly what we are looking for. This particular Civil Design project will include drainage, roads, and buildings for a large WA mining project.

To be successful our client has asked that the following criteria must be met:

  • Extensive Civil-Structural experience
  • Minimum 6-8 years experience with AutoCad (or equivalent)
  • Experience with layout and design work for bulk materials handling (would be advantageous)
  • Infrastructure and Civil project work
    Design-drafting for mine-site infrastructure
