Site Contracts Administrator

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to fill the following position as Contracts Administrator for site. Based on site in the Pilbara this role will be involved for the construction phase of a large work packages dedicated to development of this large brownfields mine site and materials handling project. 
This Contracts Administrator role will assist the Contract Engineer to ensure the success of this construction phase and will work closely with the Engineer to help implement and administer contracts and procurement processes and ensure the successful delivery of the project.


Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):
 

  • Administrative activities involved in the tendering process including; issuing of tenders, answering queries, and receiving tender responses
  • Ensure the companys procurement policies and procedures are followed
  • Review the scope of work, plans and estimates and ensure that all site sub-contract work is executed in accordance with the relevant contracts and procedures
  • Track variations/scope changes/rework associated with sub-contractors work
  • Monitor and report to management on contractor and sub-contractors progress, safety, cost and quality performance
     
The main focus for the Contracts Administrators will be to ensure all contracts are compliant with legal statutes and adhere to all terms agreed by the contractors, vendors and suppliers concerned.  The role will play a key part in all procedures relating to tendering, contract evaluation, contract administration and claims negotiation.
 

If this is role interests you, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
 

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role on a Mining or Materials Handling Project for an EPCM or client team
  • Specific work packages experience which may include SMP, E&I etc with values in excess of $20million
  • To be able to demonstrate strong interpretation, communication and organisational skills
