Painting Inspector

WYN Recruitment work alongside some of the world�s largest EPCM and client based companies and due to this we have the chance to offer you an 18 months contract working for a global EPCM consultancy. 

This opportunity will give you the chance to work a brand new position based onsite looking after all inspections of the painting and isolations on this ever growing port expansion as it goes into its next phase of construction.

This position would be ideal for a highly experience EPCM Inspector with no less than 8 years experience in the field and having worked previously on multibillion dollar projects within the mining, marine, oil and gas sectors. 

Duties will include:

  • Provide assurance of the quality of the paint application
  • Verify that all surfaces are in suitable conditions for painting
  • Report all surface defects at the prep stage, intermediate coat and final finish
  • Notify any anomalies or irregularities in the specifications
  • Surface acceptance and substrate testing for painting
  • Review all areas in scope of work with paint contractor prior to prep and paint application
  • Testing of material for improper thinning
  • Updating of site corrosion audit documentation

Skills required will include:
 
  • A minimum 8 years experience in painting and isolations inspections
  • Experience in NACE
  • A minimum 5 years EPCM experience
  • Excellent Commutation skills.
  • A minimum 5 years working within the mining, marine, oil and gas sector.
  • Be able to work in harsh remote environments.
