Our technical services have expanded to meet the increasing range of client needs, including environmental compliance management, permitting and remediation/restoration from our initial strength in geotechnical engineering. We are expanding our capabilities to serve our Oil and Gas clients throughout the US and in the Eagle Ford Shale region of Texas.
  • [Company] . has an opening for a mid-level engineer to support our environmental consulting practice focused on the oil and gas industry. This position will direct the execution of a wide variety of projects including analysis and development of air emission inventories, facility environmental assessments and regulatory audits, preparation of construction and operations permit applications, and air quality impact analysis. The successful candidate will also work with [Company] air quality scientists and engineers to assist clients in other industry sectors throughout the country and abroad. This position can sit in either our Houston, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas offices.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing engineering analysis and overseeing creation of emission source inventories in support of EI’s, TRI’s and other air quality compliance related documents;
  • Mentoring staff develop of new skill sets including understanding the relevant regulatory framework and using analytical approaches and tools that will provide high quality work products;
  • Authoring and/or reviewing consulting reports, business development proposals, and permit applications prepared by the staff;
  • Preparing proposals in response to client requests/needs.

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a related field; course work in atmospheric sciences or environmental permitting is preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience;
  • Previous experience with air quality dispersion modeling;
  • A demonstrated understanding of state agency , preferably Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and Federal regulations pertaining to air quality compliance;
  • Candidate must be a motivated problem solver with leadership capabilities and ability to interact with peers to seek out efficient solutions to complex project problems;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Preferably a licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas or having such registration from a state with a reciprocal agreement with Texas.
  • Candidate must possess the ability to pass a physical examination and a drug screen test as a condition of employment. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
