General Manager-Ready Mix

Position Summary:

• Execute business strategy, business plan, and provide leadership while maximizing profitability and optimization of all organizational resources within the Southern Colorado market area. Areas of responsibility include safety, sales, marketing, operations, materials performance, land management, and environment. Proactively engage the support of functional leaders and others to secure the long-term growth vision for the market area. Ensure all products and services that touch the customer meet Martin Marietta’s world class standards and are provided in the most efficient, easy and hassle- free manner. Uphold all company commitments, policies and standards and execute a culture that holds health and safety as a value.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 7 years management experience in ready mix industry
• Possess general knowledge of construction and ready mix business and solid knowledge of the market, competition and business opportunities
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate others and provide direct and actionable feedback
• Strong communication skills, both one on one and in group settings within and outside of the organization
• Ability to make decisions in a timely manner sometimes under tight deadlines and pressure
• Must have a strategic business focus and ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
