Civil Engineer

Requirements

• STV's Douglassville, PA. office is looking to hire a Civil Engineer for our Buildings and Facilities Division.

Successful candidates must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering & EIT (PE is preferred but not required)
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in site/civil design of commercial, educational, industrial and/or government facilities projects
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience (Microstation & Inroads experience are highly preferred but not a requirement)
• Design experience in site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, site utilities, including design of sewer pump stations and on lot sewer disposal systems, pavement and retaining walls
• Knowledge of Design-build delivery process.
• A propensity to adapt to working in diverse local & national projects
• Ability to work independently on tasks as well as working with other team members
• Knowledge of both Rational Method and TR-55 methodology for stormwater runoff calculations
• Knowledge of interpreting local codes, ordinances and other design guidelines
• Proven ability to complete tasks on time
• Excellent communication skills

Essential duties will include aiding in preparation of construction documents, technical specifications, stormwater management and conveyance system design calculations, project permitting (including Zoning, Land Development, PennDOT HOP, E&S and NPDES), and construction cost estimates and reports. Experience with AutoTurn and InVision software, USGBC LEED certification and experience with LEED design projects is highly desirable.
