The Company
This company is one of the top underground coal producers in NSW. The company is in a strong financial position and due to current expansions they are planning for long term, sustainable growth. This company has been listed on the ASX for well over 15 years and supply both coking and thermal coal to the market.
The Position
As a Senior Electrical Engineer for this underground operation, your main responsibility will be to support the mine in design, maintenance, project management, failure analysis and use of technology. You will also need to specifically have a mine electrical engineer certificate of competency for this role.
The position itself will lead the development and implementation of Electrical Engineering standards and provide project management and risk assessment expertise to all aspects of mining, processing and materials handling. It is essential that you have a safety focused attitude, a hands on approach combined with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
The Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Mine Electrical Engineer Certificate of Competency
- Demonstrated technical aptitude
- Knowledge of current mine site legislation
- Demonstrated underground coal mining experience
