Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Senior Geotechnical Engineer- Rock Mechanics- Underground Mine
 
TRS are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's Underground, Hard Rock mine on a Fly in Fly Out basis from Perth.  This is a Senior position and the role will be offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster. 
 
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for the technical and professional application of Getoechnical principles to mine planning and operations.  The successful applicant will support all geotechnical studies on site as well as participating in research and development to ensure continuous improvement of all of the geotechnical aspects of the site.    Applicants should also have the ability to mentor, train and lead less experienced engineers.  
 
The successful candidate will have:

  • 5 + years experience in Underground Mining
  • A relevant degree
  • A strong background in Rock Mechanics
  • Strong technical skills in Geotechnical Analysis and Modelling
  • IT literacy and be fluent with Mine Planning software applications
This is an exciting and complex project which is increasing in depth as it expands.
  
An excellent remuneration package will be offered for the successful applicant, including a great base salary and above market superannuation.
