Safety and Training Coordinator

  • Mining Project
  • 2 and 1 Roster
This an operational  role  in the mining industry supporting the HSEQ Superintendent on a 2 and 1 FIFO roster.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating and conducting of onsite training and assessment
  • Maintenance of all training records
  • Coordinating and conducting workplace inspections, task observations, incident    investigations and reports
  • Coordinating compliance with Safety Management Systems and Statutory Regulations
  • Injury management and rehabilitation
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Certificate IV In Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Qualification in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
  • Computer literate with Microsoft packages
  • Underground mining experience would be highly regarded
