HSEQ Superintendant

This is an operational role with 2 and 1 FIFO roster that is focussing on the general management and coordination of the HSEQ and training workforce team, ensuring that all the sites HSEQ requirements, including training are being met in an effective and timely manner, including the delivery of site training activities and safety requirements to support the operational environment. You will be required to advise internal and external stakeholders of  requirements of legislation, guidelines, Codes of Practice and Standards relevant to the workplace as well as identifying, assessing and implementing control staregtegies for hazards in the workplace, assisting with workplace inspections and audit sytems and ensuring that the processes and systems in place are there  to safeguard the integrity of these inspections and audits as well as working in accordance with the  company’s environmental systems ensuring the promotion of environmentally friendly work practices.
 
Planning organising and directing resources in a safe and cost effective manner will  also play a large part of this senior role as well as the ability to establish that all work on site is conducted in a manner that ensures that the required quality is achieved within budget and timeframe, including the delegation of  appropriate tasks and responsibilities to part of the team,  assisting in the development and preparation of  short term programs  and developing  and promoting professional communications and relationships  between  all levels of staff and employees on site,  including establishing a strong relationship with the client’s representative so that mutual objectives are being met.
 
To be successful in obtaining an interview for this role you must have previous experience in similar role, a minimum 7 years’ experience in HSEQ,  a formal qualification in HSEQ, Diploma level or similar, and have experience in the underground mining sector.
