Senior Technical Service Engineer

One of the largest pump producers in the world seeks a Senior Technical Service Engineer.

Minimum Requirements

• Age: 30 to 45
• Language skills: English
• Education: B.Eng (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) or similar tertiary studies with quality specialization
• Experience: 4 to 7 years working knowledge in a related field

Job Specification

Responsibility area:

• Technical product and external service support

Content of the job:

• Provide post-sales technical support to customers including commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining products, equipment, and systems.
• Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during startup.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment's upgrades that will meet customer needs.
• Monitor and resolve recurring more complex problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers in the region, check the quality of their work, and help them diagnose and solve problems.
• Support the setup of new Authorized Service Partners in the region and conduct annual service partner audits
• Provide product technical service training to employees, customers and service partners in the region.

Main targets are:

• Conduct annual Service Partner audits
• Timely response to technical customer queries
• Timely completion of reports

Other competencies:

• Specialist technical knowledge of pumps and pumping systems
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
