Tasks

• [Company] Building Group is currently seeking a Senior Estimator for its Nebraska Area Office. The Senior Estimator will assist the Preconstruction Manager and be responsible to oversee and manage preconstruction functions for take-off, pricing, scheduling, and subcontractor bid solicitation. This position will require the ability to either lead or be a part of a team for multiple projects and pursuits at any one given time. The Senior Estimator must also be able to provide value engineering suggestions and pricing. The ideal candidate will have priced work, either by themself or lead a team, in the 5 - 20 million dollar range. Testing Requirement for basic estimating skill set is required.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree
• 5+ years of Estimating experience required where you have been the lead estimator for at least half of that time
• Vertical Commercial Building estimating experience is a must
• Must be willing to travel, approximately 25% of the time
• Passion for Preconstruction and Estimating
• Applicant must be familiar with both Conceptual and Self-perform estimating
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Must be detail oriented, technically sound and have good communication skills
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Experience

• LEED AP / ASPE / CCE
• Experience with On-Screen Take-Off / SmartBidNet
• Experience with Hard Dollar Estimating Software
