General Utility- Night Shift

Job Description

• Candidate will be expected to perform a variety of non-skilled and skilled tasks such as cleaning, washing, sweeping, shoveling, and equipment operation to include mobile and fixed equipment.  Candidate shall perform duties safely, responsibly and proficiently observing all safety and health rules.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates will be required and expected to:

• Unloads rail cars and cleaning.
• Clean plant area by shoveling spilled material from under conveyors, tail pulleys and structures; removing debris from stairs, catwalks, platforms, unloading pits, tunnels, etc., washing concrete pads; sweeping control houses, etc.
• Performs facilities preventative maintenance and assist maintenance personnel in repairs and clean up.
• Assist in facilities maintenance as required to include mowing, and other grounds care duties.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices on equipment.
• Must be willing to work a rotating schedule with varying shifts and must be punctual in adhering to established start times.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor
• Candidates must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, some noise; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team.
