Project Geologist/ Hydrogeologist

[Company] is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Project Geologist/ Hydrogeologist to join our growing team in Boston, MA.  Working under the direction of senior project managers and partners, the successful candidate will focus on site investigation and remediation activities with opportunities to work on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of [Company]  services. This is a great opportunity to work with [Company]  technical experts to implement the latest site investigation and remediation technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects involving site investigation and remediation of soil, groundwater, free-phase product, and vapor intrusion.
  • Manage tasks on large national and international projects, including drilling programs, aquifer testing programs, surface and groundwater interactions, tidal monitoring, groundwater monitoring and high resolution site characterization.
  • Prepare scopes of work, budget estimates, schedules and design field teams for projects.
  • Conduct data evaluation and prepare reports covering contaminant fate and transport assessment, groundwater monitoring programs, risk-based corrective action, vapor intrusion assessment, institutional controls, and feasibility studies that comply with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Prepare and execute complex scopes of work and complete projects within scoped schedules/budgets.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients throughout the project.
  • Develop project health and safety programs and oversee implementation on projects.
  • Serve as client liaison for multiple clients/projects and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage multiple projects totaling at least $200,000 in managed net project budget.

Requirements:

  • MS in geology, hydrogeology or related degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to travel, including international travel.
  • Second language skills a plus.
  • Professional Geologist license a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
