One of the top ranked fastest growing companies is seeking a Safety Systems Manager, with International Head Office based in Brisbane, the company provides a range of technical, consultancy and market services for mining clients around the world.  Reporting to the Head of Safety, the position is a newly created role to develop and maintain safety systems to effectively ensure the project and clients' requirements are achieved. 
 

Key Responsibilities 
-   Develop and Implement safety, training and environmental procedures and practices that are in line with local legislations and Australian Standards 
-   Ensure clients safety systems are maintained to the required standard 
-   Monitor and correct discrepancies in safety systems 
-   Mentor safety team in system management and development 
-   Develop safety systems for clients as required 
-   Ensure compliance to applicable legislation and no breeches are recorded against the business 

Skills and Experience: 
-   Bachelor Degree in OHS or equivalent tertiary qualifications 
-   Sound working knowledge of Aust. Standards 4801, 9001, & 18001 
-   6+ years experience in a similar safety role within the Australian Mining industry 
-   High level of computer skills included Microsoft office suite especially Access 
-   Excellent interpersonal and team oriented skills 
-   A proven ability in identifying new business opportunities 
-   High level of communication skills both verbal and written 
-   Willingness to travel when needed on remote site operations 
-   Proven ability in delivering a high level of customer service
