Geological Database Manager

They are a rapidly expanding Australian mining house and are seeking an experienced Database Geologist to join their flagship operation, manage the database administrators to provide geological support from the Perth corporate office. This company are a real success story at the moment and one of the best names to have on your CV.

Reporting to the Geology Manager and overseeing the database administrators the main purpose of the role is to provide support to the exploration and management team

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Effective management of the Companys Datashed database.
Ensuring the database is maintained to industry best practice.
Monitoring and reporting of QA/QC
Support the Companys logging and database software products.
Database script and query writing.
SQL server maintenance.
Ensure the integrity of the database through regular validation.
Delivery of exports for multiple customers.
Assist in the management of Lease Control software.
Ensure direct reports assist in developing geologists within the organisation to b competent Database users


Experience and qualifications required for this role:

Practical experience and understanding of exploration and tenement system
Computer literacy and experience of Datashed
Good written and oral communication skills
Able to work unsupervised
Attention to detail
Professional, flexible and friendly
Good work ethic

A salary of between $140,000 - $160,000 + Super is
