Designer Draughtsman

Contract Fly-in-Fly-out position in the mining sector in a safe area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa. Single status position (not favourable for wives and families to permanently reside there) with a six day working week. Reports to the Project Engineer.

PLEASE NOTE: Regrettably, we are unable to consider candidates who do not have prior mining industry experience (This is a crucial requirement and not negotiable).

Key Competencies:

• Qualified Designer Draughtsman
• AutoCAD certificates and proof of designs done in 2D and 3D.
• Be in possession of Grade 12 certificate or higher
• Strong design experience in various areas with a strong focus to improve and sustain.
• Computer literate in AutoCAD 2D and 3D as well as MS Office
• Computer literate in Inventor will be advantageous.
• Adherence to Engineering specifications and standards to assist with the proper application of specifications and standards into designs.
• Ensure that designs meet requirements in terms of availability, quality and maintainability.
• Engineering Project experience will be advantageous.

Other Essential Items Required:

• Good leadership skills as well as the ability to teach/train national staff.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interface with Senior and Lower management across all disciplines and departments.
• Fit and healthy for working in UG environment
• English Speaking.

Remuneration And Benefits:

• Salary up to $100,000 pa (tax free plus benefits), depending on skills and experience
