Senior Surveyor

A Senior Surveyor vacancy is available on a Mine situated in the Limpopo Province about 60km from Lydenburg and 40km from Burgersfort. The mine is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore. candidate must be medically fit as per the MHSA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced Mine Survey Certificate
  • ND in Mine Survey
  • Min 5 years Underground experience in mine survey
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Competent in MS Office suite
  • Proficient in mine Survey management software (Microstation, Model Maker)
  • Operational problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good Communication and interpersonal Skills

Job Specification

  • Ability to co-ordinate, lead and control activities
  • Safety and legal adherence
  • People management
  • Planning and communication
  • Install lines, pegs and grades underground
  • Measure and plot underground excavations monthly
  • Measure and determine product stockpile volume weekly
  • Fix and stake out surface structures, boreholes etc
  • Construct layout plans
  • Issue instructions and holing notes
