Project Scheduler

Our client, a leading international PQS firm is looking for a Project Scheduler to work on large mining projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a Project controls environment
• Fully conversant with Scheduling tools and practices i.e. Primavera/MS Projects
• Proven ability to apply PMBOK best practices
• Relevant Project management or commercial degree/diploma advantageous

Your key responsibilities will include:

• In line with the Project Management Body Of Knowledge:

Project Initiation Process:

• Facilitate the drafting, update and development of the Project Charter
• Develop and update the Project Scope Detailed Statement
• Develop and maintain the Project Master Record Index

Project Planning Process:

• Develop and update the Project Management Plan
• Assist with the finalisation of the Project scope planning
• Assist with the finalisation of the Project scope definition
• Capture the required Project Work Breakdown Structure
• Formulate the Activity Definition for the specific project phase
• Conduct detailed Project Activity Sequencing
• Conduct an Activity Resource Estimate
• Conduct an Activity Duration Estimate
• Conduct continuous Schedule development
• Assist with Project cost estimates
• Assist with continuous Project quality planning
• Assist with the Project communications planning
• Assist with the Project risk management planning
• Assist with the Project risk identification
• Assist with the Risk response planning
• Assist with the formulation of the Project contracting plan
• Assist with the preparation and compilation of Investment Approval Requests.

Project Execution Process:

• Monitor and control all Project related work
• Ensure integrated change control
• Ensure regular scope verification
• Ensure regular scope control
• Ensure regular schedule control
• Conduct regular quality control reviews
• Assist with regular performance reporting
• Assist with the management of stakeholders
• Assist with risk management and control measures
• Assist with project closure activities.

General Accountabilities

• Assist with Project administration and coordination activities to meet objectives
• Prepare reports, presentations and analysis according to the project schedules
• Create status reports on project plans, progress and results of activities
• Gather, organize and summarize data for project reports.
