Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary

• The Finance Partner to the Business Leadership team. Recognized team member utilizing business acumen, strong analytical skills, ability to influence, and execute that contributes to the achievement of Business goals and strategy.
• Supply insightful analysis, common business sense, broad thinking, and decision support to improve financial performance of the Business.
• The Business owner of the financial reports compiled by the Central A & S Teams. Validate the analytics provided by the central teams, combined with understanding of the Business in order to improve the business financial performance.
• Utilizing intellectual integrity to provide honest, fair and impartial advice to the GM and Business Senior Leadership.
• Financial advocate to A & S for SSCB, to ensure the SSCB Business needs are considered in the forecast, AOP or other forward looking documents and reports.
• Coordination with the central teams to ensure commercial spending is within the assigned targets, and that Business Management has an understanding of budget availability on a quarterly basis. Coordination with Product Marketing, Development and GM to ensure commercial funds are allocated to the projects that will provide the most benefit to the business on a quarterly basis.
• Partner and coordinate with Product Marketing to set a price increase strategy that will achieve the annual price increase target. Responsible for understanding SSCB price realization in order to provide meaningful insight to SSCB regarding the results of the strategy. Recommend changes in the pricing strategy to achieve improved results.
• Utilize Concept Scorecard, Business Case Document and other project documents to provide a financial assessment for initiatives proposed by the Business Marketing and Development Teams.
• Analyze the financial impact of new product introductions to the business both on revenue and margin.
• Work with the central operations team to understand the cost/material inflation for Business products.
• Partner with the Business Lean and Development Teams to analyze, assess and recommend productivity opportunities for the SSCB business.
• Perform analytics on product line reporting recommending profit improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Five or more years of experience in finance and/or accounting including prior experience  in budgeting, management reporting, Business Unit finance support, and financial analysis.
• Experience creating and working with Pivot tables and V-lookup using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications

• CPA desirable, MBA strongly preferred.
• Hyperion and SAP knowledge a plus
