Senior Financial Analyst
Position Summary
- This position is responsible for supporting the Architecture and Software Segment (Group) of [Company] ([Company] ). This position will work closely with Group, OES, GSM, Business Unit, and [Company] Headquarters Finance personnel, and Department and Functional leaders within the Group.
- This Position participates in the financial analysis and report preparation in support of operational improvement activates within Group. These activities include, but not limited to, standard margin improvement, inventory optimization, manufacturing demand planning, manufacturing variance improvement, and support the productivity activities. The Senior will independently perform in-depth financial analyses and studies, and provide insights and recommendations to management. These are action oriented analyses activities, where opportunities for financial performance improvement are highlighted to Senior Management.
Essential Functions:
- Provide financial analysis, information, and interpretation to Group and Business Unit management.
- Utilize analytical skills to data mine SKU level results highlighting productivity improvement, and margin improvement opportunities. This activity would also include identifying underperforming product lines or SKUs and highlight to BU’s Management.
- Support the partnering with OES Finance to identify variance causes with a focus on actions to reduce or eliminate the unfavorable variance.
- Providing analytics to ensure the product demand plan aligns with the BU’s AOP target and
- Support Group and BU’s with standard roll analysis and correction follow up to help ensure accurate standards, and plan standard margins are appropriately adjusted to reflect the impact of the new standards
- Support Group Productivity activities with analytics and data collection activities
- Maintain IP ownership for Tax Accounting
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or BA in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of finance and accounting with emphasis in financial analysis, management reporting and process improvements.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, SAP).
Desired Qualifications
- MBA and/or CPA desirable.
