Process Engineer

Position Summary

• [Company] is seeking a Process Engineer to work at sites in Washington County, PA; Buchanan County, VA; and Marion County, WV.

Duties include:

• Promoting proper utilization and maintenance of equipment used on a daily basis within the mine;
• Performing studies related to mine design, mine ventilation, and processing;  
• Reporting on daily production;
• Conducting safety meetings for fellow employees and promoting safe work practices;
• Performing analysis and reporting on mine atmospheric conditions;
• Performing monthly belt surveys on the mine;
• Documenting data for process machinery and efficiencies;
• Completing and compiling MSHA standards and procedures for mine and region;
• Reporting and comparing mining logistics between mines;  
• Assisting and providing expertise in the commissioning waste water treatment facility;
• Developing annual budget estimates for waste water treatment facility;
•  Managing facility operation through a contracted services provider experienced in RO/Zero Liquid Discharge desalinization plant operations;
• Directing scheduled operation and maintenance to support the needs of [Company] mining operations; (xiv) Identifying and quantifying business opportunities to capture efficiencies in the water treatment processes;
• Proposing and monitoring the necessary contracts for services, supplies, power, sales of products, inventory, etc.; and (xvi) Providing input to the waste water treatment plant construction and operation of [Company] desalinization facilities.  Position requires travel.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or foreign equivalent; 2 years combined mining operations and engineering experience. Must have process expertise and knowledge of Advanced water treatment plant design and operation, Coal preparation plant design and operation, and Underground coal mine operation. Must possess knowledge of material balance and flow sheet design, and also understand and apply process control through PLC system design and PID loop design.

Requires the ability to recognize safeguards to hazards. $88,000/yr.
