Job Summary

• Responsible for coordinating and optimizing activities of a defined team.  Duties will occupy approximately 20% of the work hours with the 80% remaining devoted to normal production (etc.) duties.  The incumbent must handle a variety of situations in a confidential and professional manner.  Will be responsible for developing and maintaining human relations skills in order to encourage open, cooperative and effective relationships within the team and throughout the organization.  Leading problem solving and troubleshooting efforts bringing improvement ideas and results.  Working  with voltages ranging from 0 to 480.  Troubleshooting and repairing CNC equipment.  Repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and systems.  Performing plumbing, fabrication and electrical work.
• Effectively provide work direction and assess/prioritize situations of the team.
• Perform new hire assimilation/orientation and update  team members as necessary to keep everyone up to date on relevant changes.  Understand and communicate quality methods and monitor the operator certification process.  Report team metrics/production measurements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with fractional measurements and decimals.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the assigned work area and possess an understanding of all the processes associated with the work performed in order to train, troubleshoot and problem solve with team members.
• Proficient in the interpretation of technical drawings and manuals.
