Our well established Global Capital Equipment client are seeking a Major Accounts Manager to lead and drive the business forward. The company have a strong reputation across Australia and supply high quality products. They have created a reputation as a leading provider of reliable new and used equipment and sell into various markets including construction, mining, transport and agricultural & FMCG


In this senior management role based in Sydney you will be given the task of developing and managing all aspects of the companies major accounts, with your primary aim to ensure a profitable operation across all areas. You will oversee and take a hands on approach to developing your account management team and also take an active role in developing and nurturing repeat business. You will drive and cement long term relationships with key business partners both internally and externally to improve market share. Additional responsibility will include maintaining and increasing the profitability of the large service side of the business.


To be considered suitable for the challenging and rewarding senior management role you will have the following skills and experience;

  • Strong record of success in senior sales management or operations management roles within the earthmoving / capital equipment sectors in Australia.
  • Ability to provide & maintain market intelligence & competitor activity
  • An adaptable, inspirational, hands on people management style.
  • Coordinate & maintain necessary reporting / documenting on Major Accounts, such as customer strategies, customer files, prospects, lost sales etc
  • Strong commercial and financial skills.
  • A proven track record in developing new business at senior levels.
  • Previous multi-branch or relevant state management experience within an affiliated industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude or hands on experience with capital / construction equipment.
  • Solid operational experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications will be well regarded.
  • An enviable and stable track record of success to date.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to develop your career above and beyond this position in due course.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
