The Role:
Brisbane based location
Attractive negotiable hourly rates, based on experience
Contract duration: 12 months, with a view to permanent
The successful candidate will provide discipline specific engineering services in both a technical and supervisory capacity.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Initiate, manage and supervise engineering assignments to meet project requirements and within budget
Provide technical support, supervision and advice to discipline team and project teams
Participate in peer reviews
Research and consult with relevant resources as required
Deliver water engineering services to client, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Possess a recognised Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent
Registered RPEQ
Proficiency in water modelling processes eg: water balance, flooding, stormwater management
Possess substantial technical and practical experience in the water engineering within the mining sector
Experience working in/on multi-disciplinary projects and teams
Possess mining site based experience
Candidates must have exisitng rights to work in Australia (please ensure these are clearly identified in your application)
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred
Working knowledge of QLD regulatory requirements for the mining sector
Inspection of hydraulic structure experience, including regulated and referable dams and waterway inspections
Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline eg: project management, management or supervisory qualifications
