This role is integral in our business to ensure environmental targets are met through working alongside our operations to achieve compliance with licences and regulations, improvement initiatives and increase environmental awareness.
Your strong communication and influencing skills will be an asset to the role, as you will be required to assist operating, maintenance and functional personnel in the implementation of Alcoa Corporate and site-specific environmental activities. These include the implementation and review of Environmental Management Systems and monitoring programmes to ensure compliance.
Comprehensive report writing and analytical skills are necessary, as you prepare reports for internal stakeholders and statutory authorities, as well as identify and implement projects that improve current and future environmental performance.
Being highly motivated with strength in project management and the achievement of targets is critical. Experience in the development and implementation of air, noise and water monitoring programmes and an understanding or experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is highly desirable.
These roles provide an environmental auditing service to ensure compliance with Alcoa's environmental policies and values and ISO standards.
