Our client develops some of the most challenging mining projects in the world from concept through closure providing front-end geology,mineral processing and environmental consulting through to EPCM, operations support, and mine closure.  Due to the rapid expansion of their mining projects our client is looking for Commissioning Manager to be based in Brisbane. 
 
As the Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for:
  • develop a project commissioning organization structure with defined responsibilities and reporting relationships
  • Prepare an overall Commissioning Report detailing all activities, problems, results etc during the commissioning period and issue to the Project Manager.
  • Arrange commissioning resources, including testing equipment, raw materials and utilities, commissioning spares and agreed manpower from site erection staff, client personnel, vendors, design personnel and the erection contractor, to ensure timely and effective completion of the project.
  • liaise with Statutory Authorities on matters associated with plant start-up
  • Responsible in conjunction with the Site Safety Officer for the implementation of all aspects of the Safety Management Plan relating to commissioning activities 
To be considered for the role of Commissioning Manager you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Significant Commissioning experience 
  • Operational readiness (plant)
  • CHPP Construction or CHPP Manager experience
  • Mechanical degree strongly preferred but not essential 
  • Significant site experience in a coal environment - underground or open cut
