The Senior Hydrogeologist position


SSA Pty Ltd is currently looking for an experienced Senior Hydrogeologists with 8 - 10 years of experience for a Brisbane based position.

The duties of the Senior Hydrogeologist will include (but not limited to): 
  • Provide technical expertise to challenging mining, energy & infrastructure projects in QLD.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental legislation
  • Coordinating the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reports and monitoring project progress.
  • Project scheduling / resourcing and meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Planning and manage small projects or part or large scale projects
  • Participation in marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Assisting in managing the financial, technical and contractual work
  • Undertaking hydrogeological assessment and managing field hydrogeological investigation, particularly drilling, logging and aquifer testing and monitoring.
 
To be considered for the Senior Hydrogeologists positions you must have the following experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Degree Qualified in Hydrogeology or an environmental related discipline
  • Development of interpretive groundwater conceptual conditions
  • Analysis analysis and interpretation of geological, aquifer testing and water quality data for groundwater model development
  • Design of dewatering systems for mining or civil construction
  • Aquifer storage, recharge and recovery systems design.
  • Knowledge of the FEFLOW (Finite-element codes) and MODFLOW (Visual MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, GMS) will be highly regarded
  • Familiar with GIS Software (Desired)
  • Effective team leader
  • Excellent motivator
  • Excellent communication skills
