Environmental Engineer - Community & Permitting

Unique opportunity for an Environmental Engineer to join an EPCM in their head office in Perth and work on a multibillion dollar mining project. Long term contract and top rates of pay on offer.


Be a part of one of Africa’s largest mining projects ever undertaken as this ambitious EPCM looks to add an Environmental Engineer to their team in Perth. 


General duties and responsibilities will be to:

• Liaise with the permitting teams to keep in the loop regarding approvals status 
• Obtaining Environmental approvals from state and federal regulatory bodies. 
• Implementing Environmental Management Plans. 
• Coordinating with Project Management and Design functions to manage impact on other activities. 
• Monitoring Contractor Environmental Management Plan. 
• Interfacing with all project staff for Environmental matters and support services.  
• Management and development of a strong internal environmental function. 
• Assist with all environmental and community permitting for the mine and plant areas 
• Waste management plans specific to the areas of the mine and plant 
• Develop a register of all environmental and community requirements to be incorporated into engineering and construction

Successful candidates will have to demonstrate a proven history of environmental approvals. This role will have a strong emphasis on community and permitting.


You must have the following:

• A Tertiary degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Proven background within a large scale projects 
• A minimum 3 years EPCM experience 
• A minimum 5 years experience as an Environmental Engineer 
• Communities experience is desirable
