Senior Mine Engineer

Hays Resources and Mining currently has an opportunity for a Senior Mine Engineer to join this international consulting firm in their Melbourne office.  Currently working on a variety of projects locally and overseas, they are now looking to expand their current team of consultants.

A vital part of this role is assisting the Principal Mining Consultant with business development and with the preparation of proposals while maintaining internal quality control.  Some of your main duties would include feasibility studies, mine planning and optimization, mine economics which will include budgets and forecasts.   Included in your responsibilities will be Ventilation modeling, Drill and Blast optimisation and mine services including backfill and reserve calculations.
 
The successful candidate will need to hold a tertiary degree in Mining Engineering and have had extensive experience in underground or open cut mining.  The role would suit a Mining Engineer who has experience in mine planning and scheduling who is seeking to expand their range of mine planning capability in terms of commodity, study type and new design and scheduling software.
