Underground Electrician

A large multinational mining leader  is currently recruiting for a team of underground electricians for a large underground mining operation in the Hunter Valley. This mine has a long sustainable future underpinned by excellent strategic management and will offer the successful candidates a long and prosperous career within the mining sector.

The role for underground electricians will involve the support and maintenance of all the electrical equipment and services which ensure the smooth running of operations underground in a high pressure mine environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring a safe environment is provided to the production team. Excellent all round knowledge of mine operations will allow you to ensure resources are used in an efficient manner and reduce the impact of breakdowns on mine operations. You will be rewarded with a minimum $110K package  + bonus on performance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in an underground mine environment. You must be a trade qualified electrician with a methodical and analytical approach to your work. Working effectively in a team environment with multiple shifts and rosters is also a key part of the role. A very attractive set of rosters are available to underground electricians looking to work directly with a mine and seeking an employer who values progression and growth.
